New insights into the dissociation of mixed CH4/CO2 hydrates for CH4 production and CO2 storage

چکیده
Recent but limited studies have shown that multistep slow depressurization based on mixed CH4/CO2 hydrate dissociation can enhance CH4 recovery and increases CO2 storage after injection into [1,2]. For the first time, resistivity variation gas was investigated to study change in saturation production/storage yield. Lab-scale rich hydrates were synthesized mimic production well scenario. The sandstone with moderate high water using two different mixtures. Furthermore, dissociated three six steps cyclic depressurization. Pressure, chromatography data collected. presence of thermodynamic stability zones provided an opportunity for additional during dissociation. Gas migration between caused reformation, improvement sweep area movement front toward well. Multiple peaks suggest major reformation. Peak values independent type. Peaks occurred at pressure than peak hydrates. slight resistance below pure confirms loss mass recovered by formation mass. This discusses correlation type guest molecule its concentration initial saturation. results this will be useful explore application improve storage.

Kinetics of the Formation and Dissociation of Gas Hydrates from CO2-CH4 Mixtures
Sequestration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the form of its hydrates in natural methane (CH4) hydrate reservoirs, via CO2/CH4 exchange, is an attractive pathway that also yields valuable CH4 gas as product. In this paper, we describe a macroscale experiment to form CO2 and CH4-CO2 hydrates, under seafloor-mimic conditions, in a vessel fitted with glass windows that provides visualization of hydrat...

Gas hydrates in sub-seabed sediments is an unexploited source of energy with estimated reserves larger than those of conventional oil. One of the methods for recovering methane from gas hydrates involves injection of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), causing the dissociation of methane and storing CO2. The occurrence of gas hydrates offshore Portugal is well known associated to mud volcanoes in the Gulf of...
متن کاملNew insights into the prevention and treatment strategies for hypertrophic scars and keloids
Hypertrophic scars and keloids are fibrosis abnormalities associated with the accumulation of collagen and extra cellular matrix components. These scars are caused by abnormal wound healing, which may occur after skin injuries caused by surgery, trauma, burns, etc. and may have a large impact on the patients’ quality of life. Hypertrophic scars and colloids in addition to aesthetic problems can...
